the what of the who of the we that we are

We consider the politics
of a collectively organized group
who teaches collaboratively
and creates performance work
improvisationally
and non-hierarchically
to be an important
and ongoing
artistic and social
statement.

The Architects perform with Michael Chorney in Epiphany Dance Experiment’s Fall 2009 Dance Series

November 1, 2009
Epiphany Episcopal Chicago
201 South Ashland Ave, Chicago, IL

for more info, check out www.epiphanydance.blogspot.com

We’ll be teaching a master class, as part of the Dance Series. Come on out if you are in the area!

Cultivate awareness as an entry point to movement improvisation and discover how composition emerges from an attuned group. This workshop balances in-depth solo exploration with rigorous practice in spontaneous ensemble dance-making. Fresh perceptions and new choices are set in motion through provocative open-ended questions; each kinesthetic/conceptual proposition creates windows into authenticity, connection, depth, and range.
